ISMISS
Link to International Society for Minimal intervention in Spine Surgery. The International Society for Minimal Intervention in Spinal Surgery (ISMISS) was organized as a non-profit organization in 1990 under the leadership of Professor Parviz Kambin, first President of ISMISS, in collaboration with his European counterparts, Professor Adam Schreiber, Professor Mario Brocks and Dr. Jan Sheppard. ISMISS has held regular annual symposiums in Zurich (Switzerland). There are now sections in Europe, Asia and Americas. The membership and participants have witnessed the evolution of minimally invasive spine intervention including percutaneous nucleotomy to endoscopic fragmentectomy, foraminoplasty and segmental stabilization.
